Cara Mudah Membuat CHM, Help File

Bagi anda seorang software programmer yang biasa membuat aplikasi pasti selalu membuat help file untuk membantu menjelaskan bagaimana kinerja, tutorial menggunakan aplikasi tersebut dan informasi tambahan lainnya jika diperlukan. CHM disebut juga sebagai Microsoft Compiled HTML Help (.CHM). Dikembangkan pertama kali oleh microsoft pada tahun 1997 sebagai sebuah kesuksesan untuk Microsoft WinHelp format. Ini pertama kali diperkenalkan pada Windows 98 dan masih didukung dan didistribusikan hingga Windows XP, Vista dan Windows 7 platform.

Kali ini kita akan membahas Helpinator, sebuah software kecil dan simple untuk membuat sebuah HTML Help File.

Ini sangat mudah!, karena ada software HELPINATOR. Bagaimana aplikasi ini membantu anda untuk membuat file CHM (Help File). Berikut caranya.

1. Download Helpinator - help authoring tool.

Lakukan download Helpinator, KLIK DISINI!

Setelah download Unzip dan baca "readme.txt" file dengan teliti.

2. Install htmlhelp.exe

Microsoft Help Workshop (htmlhelp.exe) dibutuhkan sebagai prerequisite, Jadi silahkan install htmlhelp.exe sebelum melakukan install Helpinator. Helpinator disebut sebagai Microsoft HTML Help compiler untuk membuat CHM file.

4. Install Helpinator

Run helpinator3professional.exe and follow the instructions.

5. Tambahkan topics

Jalankan Helpinator. Sekarang kamu tambahkan topik untuk project kamu. Kamu dapat menambahkan topik satu persatu atau menggunakan "Add several topic" tombol untuk menambahkan nomor topik pada saat bersamaan. Kamu hanya perlu perhatikan tentang titles, context ids akan di buat secara otomatis. 

6. Tulis topics

Sekarang kamu dapan menulis topik, Helpinator Now mempunyai interface WYSIWYG (What you see it what you get) apa yang kamu lihat itu yang kamu dapat editor dengan semua fungsi standard, style huruf, tables, hyperlinks dan yang lainnya.

7. Compile CHM Help file

Click "Compile CHM" pada toolbar button untuk membuat CHM file.
